Oranges

Since I am Mexican, I spend much of my time around or thinking of oranges. After much deep contemplation I have come to the realization that the orange was screwed over during the naming process. I mean is any other fruit burdened with such an unoriginal name? The answer is no! No other fruit is named after the color that it is. Whoever named this fruit had to be (at the very least) severely retarded, or Polish, but most likely both. (If you are Polish and take offense to that comment, FUCK YOU for giving my people's fruit such a dumb name.) In any case if I could have only one wish, it would be to wish the namer of the orange dead, but the orange was most likely named long ago, meaning the namer is already dead. So my wish would be of no consequence to his disposition, and I think that I should be able to use my wish on something else. . .which will be determined at another time.

Follow-up:

I have received some feedback pertaining to other fruits "allegedly" named after colors. First, there is the case of the peach. The fruit is clearly not the same color as the crayon. Second, there is the plum. While the fruit and the crayon bare the same color, the color was clearly named after the fruit.
